Unnamed Glacial Valley and Chilkat Range, SE Alaska.

My daughter and I flew to Haines, Alaska last summer to visit my cousin and his wife --and the trip included a short flight in a Cessna from Juneau to Haines --and Wow! this photo's just one of many that I'd consider a "fave". What an amazing-looking glacial valley! Beautiful steep walls on either sides make for a perfect "U-shape" --you can easily imagine it filled with ice. And the river's depositing a "fan-delta" into Chilkat Inlet below. And then... the incredible mountains!
